Songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, writer and music educator Harvey Reid has honed his craft since the 1970’s in countless clubs, festivals, streetcorners, cafes, schools and concert halls across the nation. He has been called a “giant of the steel strings” and “one of the true treasures of American acoustic music,” and is considered to be one of the modern masters and innovators of the acoustic guitar, autoharp and 6-string banjo. Put that together with his wife Joyce Andersen , a veteran musician who has enjoyed a varied 25 year career as side-gal, session player, singer-songwriter, and band leader, and you have a match made in heaven. Her versatility as a vocalist and violinist and guitar player who thrives on writing and interpreting songs across many genres has brought her from the coffeehouses and taverns of her native New England, national & international touring as a solo artist as well as her collaborations with Harvey.
Together they will light up the Crooked Stage on Friday, August 29!
